GHI (GROUP HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME) FOR REGULAR EMPLOYEES
- Premium expense is totally incurred by OPTCL.
- Coverage- All regular employees of OPTCL, including trainees.
- Family floater scheme
- Family definition – 1+5 (Employee, Spouse, Dependent parent/parent-in-law with no cross pairing, Dependent children(upto 30 yrs.), Dibyang Siblings)
- Sum Insured – Rs. 5 Lakh for all employees upto the rank of DGM.
- Sum Insured – Rs. 7 Lakh for employees of GM and above rank
- Cashless with reimbursement facility available.

- Premium is paid by the ex-employees themselves, OPTCL acts as a facilitator.
- Coverage - Retired employees and their spouses, spouses of deceased employees of OPTCL.
- Family floater scheme.
- Family definition – 1+1 (Employee and spouse)
- Sum Insured – Rs. 5 Lakh

GPAI (GROUP PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE) SCHEME
- Premium expense is incurred by OPTCL.
- Coverage for in-service death, total permanent disability and total partial disablement of an employee arising due to an accident.
- Capital Sum Insured – 25 lakh for Executives

Capital Sum Insured – 15 lakh for non-executives

GSLI (GROUP SAVING LINKED INSURANCE) SCHEME
- The scheme has been discontinued by LIC since 2014. However, already-enrolled employees continue to get coverage under the policy.
- This is a voluntary scheme.
- A premium of Rs. 180/- each month is deducted from the salary of the employee and transferred to LIC.
- Rs. 120 – saving component

Maturity is payable post-retirement. In case of in-service death, an additional 1 lakh rupee is payable with maturity benefit.
